Fine motor skills is a big subject and since it would take forever to post about it Im going to try to just give you the basic idea. Fine motor skills is pretty much everthing you do with your hands and fingers. I had no problem finding info for this post because my mom had this great (big ) book.
This is part of math program and it helps Aaron because he has to move the pieces around until they fit. As you can see it's very cute.
Ohh this is the math program that the puzzle above came with.
He also uses some little games that Mom made for him. Like this one he has to put the noodles into the hole and while it does sound kinda boring it helps him because he has to pick up the noodles with his fingers ( a hard fine motor skill).
Cutting is another hard skill. He has special scissors that pop back open after they're closed. This is very hard for him he can only use 2 fingers instead of his whole hand.
The top tool you see in this pic is used to scoop little beads that he then puts in a bottle, it's good practice for his hand balance. The bottom 2 are little graspers that help him pick stuff up and then drop it.
Or you can use tongs to pick up these little ball thing ( no clue what there called).
He will either drop them into an ice tray or little silver cups.
Not all signs are hard, like the letter "A" is easy because all you do is make a fist so it doesn't involve the use of seperate fingers.
Signs like these..........

are harder because his fingers are in different positions, or some are sticking out while others are not.

Aaron has good fine motor skills when he has to use his whole hand, he has a really strong grip. If he gets a hold of you, good luck trying to get away. The area he is working on is the skills where you have to use your fingers more individually (called finger isolation).
Thanks for reading!
