FOOD FIGHT!!!!!!!

Now I know what your thinking and this is not a food fight like in movies where it is in a school cafeteria and then everyone gets into trouble. Let me start by saying this thing was planned as a fun way to welcome the upcoming freshman to the high school youth group. It was almost played like capture the flag only with a couple twist. There were 2 teams, each had a food supply pile and a leader. The leader had to sit in a chair while the opposing team tried to cover him/her with food. The leaders had a circle around them and you were not allowed to throw food pass this boundary. They had two guards who tried to block the food ( the aim of this game was to have the cleanest leader). So first we had a quick briefing on how this was going to work.


Then we all put on team colors! Now this is a before picture wait until you see the after.

Here is what we had in our food supply piles

Chocolate and strawberry syrup

spinach

Lima beans

tuna fish

flour

regular syrup

Ramon noodles

Crisco butter

water balloons

ketchup

mustard

relish

mayonnaise

applesauce

oats

fruit cereal

coke cans

and that about covers it!

So once Katherine blew her whistle everyone went for it. Now I had volunteered to be a leader. My team did pretty well because about half way through their guy looked like this while I....

Was much cleaner!

At least I was until Jack, the guy in the white shirt ( yes I know horrible photo but everyone was moving so give my mom a break).

exploded a coke bottle with mentoes. Now in this game if you explode a coke bottle on the opposing teams side you get 2 free throws of food with no guards and no one can stop you.

He hit me with syrup and then flour and then later in the game exploded another one and hit me with beans and a bottle of coke.
Everyone seemed to really love the flour! Near the end everyone looked really disgusting.

Unfortunately their guy was cleaner so we lost! :( So we took a group photo and then did a five minute free for all food fight. Here is the group after shot.
